The Venezuelan American Endowment for the Arts
(www.vaearts.org) is a New York State
non-for-profit organization established on June 13th 1990 in New York City
to commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of Jose Antonio Paez. During
the past decade and a half, VAEA has sponsored several events in both
Venezuela and US. VAEA aims to promote through the visual and performing
arts a deeper and richer understanding by Venezuelan citizens of U.S. culture, and by U.S. citizens of Venezuelan culture.
ACC searches the ways of enhancing the peace of mind of entrepreneurs,
companies and families. In the spirit of our changing times, we also
recognize that true prosperity results from harmony between personal and
collective interests, both striving to achieve the concept of well-being.
Our services include:
- Identifying risk exposures and methods to control them: Risks can arise
from many sources. Our most valuable assistance is often in the risks we identify and the suggestions we provide.
- Helping you to find the right insurer and the right coverage: We help
match your risk with a financially secure insurance company that understands
your business and speaks your language. We make sure that the contract
language is in your favor to the extent possible. In addition, we make sure
that the insurer has a record of providing good service.
- Helping you to maintain a stable and cost effective relationship with your
insurer: We help you to establish positive relationships with insurers that
are in your market for the long term, and to present claims effectively.
The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural & Educational Center (CSV), a 501 (C) 3 not-for-profit, was founded in 1993. The CSV Cultural Center is a Puerto Rican/Latino cultural institution that has demonstrated a broad-minded cultural vision and a collaborative philosophy. While CSV's mission is focused on the cultivation, presentation and preservation of Puerto Rican and Latino culture, it is equally determined to operate in a multi-cultural and inclusive manner, housing and promoting artists and performance events that fully reflect the cultural diversity of the Lower East Side and the city as a whole.
The 53 visual artists with studios in the building are predominantly nonhispanic. They are practicing artists with professional careers as visual artists, creating in their studios, exhibiting in commercial galleries and museums and often teaching in schools and universities in city.
CSV continues to be the home to over a dozen performing arts and educational organizations. These are flourishing companies that are enhancing the artistic and cultural life of New York City through their diverse contributions to the public.
