Austin Shull
Austin Shull was born in 1977 in Washington D.C., and presently lives and works in Brooklyn NY. He received a BA in studio art from Bard College in 2001 and is enrolled in the MFA Fine Art program of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Shull's sculptures, installations, and photography investigate social conditions that can be seen globally and within the United States. Exploring issues of consumer marketing and natural resources recent projects have included "The Pandemic's Coming, BUY NOW" 2006, a series of sculptures influenced by the Bird Flu Pandemic, and "Digging for Water" 2006, a project in which the artist hand dug a well in a quest for water.
